Meeting Requirements, Preserving Charm
The city of Rainier, Oregon, is a small town that offers a variety of scenic views, historical landmarks, and outdoor exploration. Founded in 1851, this quaint town has a unique charm that comes with the preservation of history. Rainier was looking to install light poles along their main road, A Street, but did not want to lose its charm in the process. Their main obstacle was that Oregon's Department of Transportation (ODOT) has very strict requirements for these projects, which most manufacturers do not have the means to comply with.
Valmont Structures used its design, engineering, and manufacturing expertise to provide a perfect solution for the city: A decorative light pole that fits the aesthetics of the city and meets ODOT's requirements. This project set the standard for all subsequent decorative projects in Oregon to use Valmont Structures as a manufacturer.
