When Carmel, IN was looking for lighting options which fit the existing aesthetic of the city back in 2000, Valmont Structures offered the perfect solution. Due to our unique capabilities and versatile product offering, we have been manufacturing lighting solutions for the city for over 20 years.
Valmont Structures is the only manufacturer in the US which can produce the pole assembly that the city of Carmel has specified. This unique assembly includes our 12 flat fluted steel poles. Since the city wanted consistent design for both area and traffic lighting, they required up to 30-foot fluted poles. Valmont’s unique fluting capabilities make us a top choice because we can economically flute poles up to 39 feet.
Another key component of the desired assembly is our Alhambra arm. This decorative aluminum arm is used with both single and double design configurations throughout the city. The elaborate detailing found in this arm provides a unique aesthetic perfectly complimenting the surrounding city. Along with the Alhambra arms, our Washington Clam Shell Base Cover adds flair to the light pole assemblies. Lastly, Valmont's Banner Arms are also used throughout the city. These arms allow for even more customization, letting the city design unique banners based on location.
The final decorative touch for Carmel’s pole assembly is a green paint color. With all of these components, Carmel can have flexibility in design based on the location of the lighting. Additionally, by specifying these components throughout the city, all lighting remains consistent even though individual assemblies vary.
