Short span bridges provide vital links within any infrastructure network. Yet, in the U.S. there are 188 million trips taken across a structurally deficient bridge each day. To fix our nation's deficient bridges, a new Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill was passed representing the single largest dedicated bridge investment since the construction of the interstate highway system - it is expected to create millions of new jobs and demand to rebuild our country’s infrastructure. In June 2023, Barron County installed Wisconsin’s first steel press-brake formed tub girder (PBFTG) system – the 15th Avenue Bridge. This innovative bridge solution provided by the Valmont Structures bridge team, allows ease of delivery, accelerated construction, and minimal maintenance during its lifetime.
